The Student Special Services Department is a part of the Auburn School District. The department works in coordination with administrators, special education personnel, community agencies and parents. It offers services to students with specific learning disorders, visual and orthopedic impairments, autism, traumatic brain injury, and speech and language impairments. The Auburn School District serves students in kindergarten through grade 12. Its schools offer various athletic activities, such as baseball, cheerleading, golf, softball, and track and field. Each school of the district maintains a parent-teacher organization. Its schools also operate libraries.
