Established in 1948, the Concord Fire Department works to provide fire suppression and prevention and emergency medical services. It operates various fire stations that are staffed with full- and part-time firefighters and paramedics. The department supports the Explorer Post program, which conducts training classes in firefighting, emergency medical services and ambulance apprentice. The Concord Fire Department maintains training and fire prevention bureaus. It operates a communication and dispatch center that coordinates responses to fire and emergency medical calls. The department houses heavy rescue units, engines, squads and rescue vehicles. The Concord Fire Department also supports school and community safety, home inspection and child passenger safety seat programs. It is located in Concord Township, Ohio.
