Bank of America Stadium is a stadium located in Charlotte, North Carolina. Bank of America Stadium currently houses the NFL teams the Carolina Panthers. The stadium opened as Ericsson Stadium on September 14, 1996 with the construction taking just over two and a half years at a cost of just over $248 million, $363 million in present day dollars. In 2004 Bank of America acquired the naming rights to the stadium in a 20-year deal.
The Carolina Panthers have yet to win a Super Bowl Championship but they have made a few playoff appearance in they’re relatively short time as a team in the NFL. The Panthers are members of the Southern Division of the National Football Conference within the NFL. They are known by their team colors consisting of blue, black and silver. The current owner of the Carolina Panthers is Jerry Richardson.
The stadium currently holds 73,778 fans. There are 158 luxury suites and over 11,000 seats at the club level. Currently, it was the ninth largest stadium in the NFL. Bank of America Stadium is also a great venue for concerts and has hosted such musicians as Bon Jovi, Taylor Swift and The Rolling Stones.
Bank of America Stadium also hosts the annuals events of the Belk Bowl and the ACC Championship Game.
The majority of tickets for Panthers’ games are sold out and there is an extensive waitlist for season tickets. However, fans can possibly find available tickets for individual games at ticket exchanges.
