P TACH is a nonprofit organization that provides Jewish education to children who have been disfranchised because of learning differences. It was established in 1976 and is affiliated with the Yeshiva University High School. It serves thousands of students in the United Sates, Canada and Israel. Its National Scientific Conference on Learning Disabilities center provides an interdisciplinary forum for the exchange of relevant information to Jewish children and young adults with learning disabilities. The organization s early identification and screening programs identify the potential and learning problems of children of grades kindergarten through first. Additionally, it provides vocabulary and primary reading books and teacher training and parenting workshops. P TACH is located in Brooklyn, N.Y.
