Lakewood Township Public Works Department is responsible for the maintenance and repair of township roads and sewers, parks and open space, snowplowing of streets, leaf and brush collection, garbage and recycling collection and tire, refrigerator and appliances that contain refrigerants collection. Located in Lakewood, N.J., the department collects garbage once a week in each of the four zones with the exception of the commercial downtown area.
