Community Emergency Assistance Program is a community-based, nonprofit agency that partners with other resources to assist people in need. The agency provides emergency support, and facilitates personal skill building, and self-sufficiency. Family services are offered, and include providing food, clothing, financial assistance, and other emergency services to families living in the agency s service areas. The agency s programs include clothing closet, community advocacy, ways to work loan program, financial assistance, food shelf, information and resources referral, job resources, mothers and children nutrition, and welfare-to-work transportation programs. Senior services are also offered by Community Emergency Assistance Program to help senior citizens, and disabled adults stay in their own homes, and remain independent. The agency s senior citizen programs include meals on wheels, senior chore, and nutrition assistance programs. Community Emergency Assistance Program is located in Brooklyn Park, Minn.
