South Cove Community Health Center, founded in 1972, is one of the leading primary and preventive health care centers for Asian Americans. The center comprises more than 150 staff members, and serves over 15,000 patients. It offers a wide range of services, such as dental, ancillary and optometry. The center also provides various behavioral health services, which include psychotherapy, parent aide, intensive family intervention and case management. South Cove also provides tuberculosis, asthma and pulmonary care services. Additional services offered by the center comprise adolescent health care and thalassemia screening. Its medical services also include gastroenterology, neurology, radiology and bone density imaging, and it also provides geriatric services. South Cove Community Health Center offers a wide range of volunteer programs, such as community health, family and youth programs and finance. The center is located in Boston.
