Berkshire County Arc is a nonprofit human services organization that offers a range of community-based services to individuals with developmental disabilities and traumatic brain injuries. Its programs are offered throughout Berkshire and Hampden counties in Massachusetts. The organization offers four day programs, a range of residential support services, including 30 group homes, employment services, respite services, and citizen and self advocacy programs. Its day habilitation programs are designed to increase an individual s independence and ability to assume social roles through developmental skills training and clinical support. These programs serve individuals with a wide range of abilities, talents and interests who require intensive support and services in the areas of communication, relationship building, self direction, health maintenance, safety and community participation through volunteerism. It serves more than 325 individuals annually. Berkshire County Arc was founded in 1954 and is located in Pittsfield, Mass.
