St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church seeks to follow the teachings of Martin Luther and the Protestant Reformation of the 16th century. The church's beliefs can be traced to the Book of Concord and the Augsburg Confession, which advances the believe of justification by grace through faith alone.
The church is a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Since 2009, the organization has baptized more than 4.5 million members attending 10,348 congregations. It was formed in 1988 with the merger of the American Lutheran Church, Association of Evangelical Lutheran Churches and the Lutheran Church in America.
Along with services and outreach programs, the church has a preschool program for children ages 2 to 4 years old.
