Established in 1975, Iowa Finance Authority is a self-supporting public agency that finances, administers and provides housing and promotes community and economic development throughout Iowa. The agency undertakes programs to assist in the attainment of multifamily homes and single-family units for low- and moderate-income people. Its home- and community-based service rent subsidy program provides temporary rental assistance for people who receive medical services through Medicaid. Iowa Finance Authority also issues tax-exempt bonds for a range of projects. It maintains drinking water and waste water facilities throughout the state. The agency s title guaranty division ensures low-cost title and real properties to its customers. Iowa Finance Authority is located in Des Moines, Iowa.
