Though the congregation had been in Evanston since 1891, Bethlehem Lutheran Church's current structure was completed in 1921 after years of construction. Today it is a thriving church located on Wesley Avenue at Greenwood Street, offering Sunday worship services, Sunday school classes, Bible study, choir, Catechism classes for youth, a weekly bowling league, soup suppers during Lent and various opportunities to benefit and serve the community. Bethlehem Lutheran Church is a member of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod and is currently led by Pastor Mark F. Broecker.
