Alpha Chi Omega was first started as a women's club at the DePauw's School of Music in Greencastle, Indiana in 1885. At the time it was only the sixth club of its kind in the nation. Today, the ladies of Alpha Chi Omega strive to make a difference in their communities through educational programs, mentorship and volunteerism. The Beta Sigma chapter is located on Lumpkin Street, a stone's throw from UGA Campus and a short walk to Athens' Five Points neighborhood.
