Bright Beginnings is a child and family development center for homeless families living in shelters and transitional housing programs across the District of Columbia. The center provides free, full-day, developmentally appropriate care, on-site therapeutic support, and comprehensive family support services. It serves more than 150 infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and their families each year. Variety of programs offered by the center includes child development, health and wellness, family stability, parent aide evening care program, and transition services. Bright Beginnings collaborates with the Community Partnership for the Prevention of Homelessness through their continuum of care program, which provides prevention services, street outreach, emergency shelter, transitional housing, and permanent supportive housing and services for homeless individuals and families. It is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. The center is located in Washington, D.C.
