West Hartford is a suburb of the state's capital city of Hartford, with about 63,268 residents in 22.2 square miles. The town features a wide variety of services, businesses and community resources, including an aquatic center, a skating rink and an environmental education center. West Hartford was settled in 1679 and was a division of Hartford until it was incorporated in 1854. The West Hartford Town Hall is conveniently located on South Main Street in the town center.
