Salem Lutheran Church sits on a hill just above the intersection between routes 63 and 68 in Naugatuck. While there is access and parking on Salem Street, there is also a stairwell that leads up to the church from Route 63.
Built in 1856, the church has a congregation that stands today at around 150. Members partake in many charity events, including the Crop Walk, New Beginnings and the Naugatuck Ecumenical Food Bank. There is also a vacation Bible school, which is held on Wednesdays at 7 pm.
