Established in 1976, the Women's Center Of SECT provides a range of services for the victims of sexual assault and domestic violence. With one of its locations in New London, Conn., the center focuses on creating a violence-free society. It offers crisis intervention, health care and group counseling services. The center also operates various support groups for children, parents and adolescents. The Women's Center Of SECT conducts a transitional living program that helps homeless women and families to develop skills to live a healthy and independent life. The center operates community educational programs, as well as emergency residential facilities. It provides medical assesment and care referal services. The Women's Center Of SECT additionally offers law enforcement advocacy services.
