While officially dedicated in April of 1976, the Pinebrook Assembly of God's history stretches back nearly a century to when Pentacostalism took off in the United States. According to the church's website, assemblies of individuals proclaiming the power of the Holy Spirit had been practicing in Naugatuck as early as 1916. After switching locations several times over the course of the early 20th century, the Assembly of God members settled in a forest area off of City Hill Road.
Regular service times are at 11 a.m. on Sundays. In addition to Sunday worships, the Pinebrook Assembly of God offers a myriad of programs for all ages and genders. The current pastor is Rev. John D. Marston.
