The Madison Public Schools Central Office runs the Madison Public Schools with oversight from the Madison Public Schools Board of Education. There are six public schools and a preschool in the school system. Those schools include the following:
David Klein is the school superintendent. The schools serve about 3,000 students. The goal of the Madison Public Schools is to "to support students in achieving their highest educational and personal potential, to inspire in them an enduring love for learning, and to prepare them to be 21st Century citizens of the world who contribute to the diverse, multicultural and international communities in which they will live."
