Since the Junior Chamber nonprofit began in 1947, Greenwich Jaycees—one of nine in the state—has grown to one of the most reputable young professionals groups in the area.
In addition to monthy meetings, group members coordinate various community service projects and fundraisers, which include working at nearby soup kitchens, holiday shopping for the less fortunate and home refurbishment.
Membership is open to 21 to 41-year-olds. There are currently about 25 members.
Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of the month at various local bars and restaurants.
