Orinoco Council 39 is the Greenwich chapter of the world's largest Catholic fraternal service organization. The Knights of Columbus was founded in 1882 as a benefit society, providing mutual aid to its members and their families. The Greenwich chapter sponsors a number of events, including the Christmas Day Dinner for residents who are alone on the holiday and flea markets during the months of May and October. Meetings for members take place on the first and third Thursday of the month at 8pm.
