Dominquez Archaeological Research Group (DARG) is a non-profit corporation established in 2003, dedicated to anthropological and archaeological research, preservation, and education in the Upper Colorado River Basin. They strive for professional excellence, scientific rigor, and the application of innovative research methods and advanced technology in archaeology and anthropology, while promoting inclusivity, diversity, and racial justice.
DARG's ongoing projects include the Archaeological Reassessment of Rock Art in Canyon Pintado National Historic District, the Ute Trails Project, the Colorado Wickiup Project, and the Western Colorado Bison Project. They also offer the Partnership of Discovery Program, allowing individuals and families to support real archaeology in western Colorado by adopting an archaeologist and contributing to ongoing projects and the preservation of archaeological resources.
