The Public Works Department is responsible for caring and improving the local environment.
The department heads upkeep for the following public facilities:
- Parks
- Medians
- Sewers
- Storm drains
- Street Lighting
- City-owned buildings
Key citywide services are also provided by the department, including street maintenance, street sanitation and traffic safety.
The City Engineering Department is also housed in the Public Works Department.

Hours for applying for public works permits: 7 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. – 6 p.m. on regular business days.
