Pilates United is located in the beautiful outdoor Sycamore Court shopping center. This Pilates studio and fitness center offers private and paired sessions along with group sessions. There are different types of memberships: First Timers, Platinum, Gold, Silver and Family. All memberships are subject to a $200 initiation fee, which can be waived with a 12-month commitment.

Gotham Pilates

Laura Sepulveda founded Gotham Pilates, located in La Jolla, California, in August 2005. Their focus is to provide an amalgam of Pilates-based movement styles to best suit each individual in a comfortable, non-competitive atmosphere. The Pilates Method is a physical fitness system developed in the early 20th century by Joseph Pilates. He called his method Contrology, believing his method uses the mind to control the muscles. The program focuses on the core postural muscles which help keep the body balanced and which are essential to providing support for the spine.
