San Diego Regional Center, located in San Marcos, Calif., is a private, nonprofit organization that provides services outlined in the Lanterman Developmental Disabilities Services Act. It serves individuals with disabilities living in San Diego and Imperial counties in California. It provides a wide range of services, including case finding and intake, assessment, diagnosis, evaluation and counseling, monitoring and evaluation, development of an individual program plan, individual family service plan, and coordination of services. San Diego Regional Center also offers services, such as advocacy for the protection of legal, civil and service rights, resource development, program evaluation and community education, public information and training, and information, referral, and linkage to other services and supports. It has more than 20 regional centers throughout California.
