Founded in 1981, Child Crisis Center-East Valley provides emergency shelter, child abuse treatment, counseling, prevention and medical care services to more than 11,000 children. Its emergency shelter program provides 24-hour care to children up to 11 years old. The center also offers various short- and long-term counseling and behavioral health services, including individual, family and group counseling, behavior management, play therapy, parent consultation and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing. Its family resource center conducts parenting classes on a range of topics, such as newborn baby care, parent anger management, contemporary parenting and co-parenting through divorce. Additionally, the center offers respite care services to more than 40 children up to 11 years of age. Child Crisis Center-East Valley is located in Mesa, Ariz.
