The Islamic Shia Ithna-Asheri Centre in Edmonton, Canada, traces its roots back to the exodus of Shia Ithna-Asheri Muslims from Uganda in 1972. Since then, the community has grown to approximately 65 families and takes pride in achieving its objectives through the dedication of its members.
Through hard work and the mercy of Almighty Allah, the Centre was able to build a religious hall in Edmonton, where regular congregational prayers and religious teachings are conducted according to the Shia Ja'afari faith. The Centre also offers religious classes for children and provides various forms for membership and facility rental.
