History
WVRC acquired the Animal ER of Racine in February 2013. The origins of the Wisconsin Veterinary Referral Center (WVRC) started with the establishment of the Emergency Veterinary Service in 1981 by a core of area veterinary hospitals. Over the years, other specialty practices joined the Emergency Veterinary Service and formed WVRC in spring 2000. Today, as a member of the Ethos Veterinary Health network of hospitals, WVRC is recognized as one of the largest, most diverse emergency and specialty referral hospitals in the state of Wisconsin.
