History
Established in 2000, USRWA is a grassroots, self-sustaining, 501(c)(3) non-profit conservation organization. USRWA is a diverse community of people who live, work and play in the watesrhed. Partners include businesses, schools, families, service and volunteer groups, government agencies, and public and private organizations of all types who work to improve water quality. From farmers to hikers, builders to birders, hunters to hikers, and paddlers to peddlers - we work hands on with everyone to get the job done.
Specialties
USRWA is the voice of the watershed. We fill the needs of the watershed through a variety of grassroots projects and partnerships including: Habitat restoration, river clean-ups, maintenance of the Sugar River water trail, volunteer water quality monitoring program, invasive species control, youth education programs, urban and agricultural runoff and collaborative work with farmers.
