Dr. Kurt Schwiesow is a board certified ophthalmologist who completed a one year subspecialty fellowship in glaucoma. His practice is specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma, as well as customized cataract surgery. Dr. Schwiesow's goal is to treat each patient as a member of his family, and continue to offer patients the latest, most effective treatment options. As the first surgeon in Wisconsin to offer the Trabectome procedure, Dr. Schwiesow offers patients minimally invasive surgical treatment options for glaucoma, as well as Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty. He uses more traditional glaucoma surgeries, such as trabeculectomy and glaucoma drainage implants, and will customize the treatment approach to the individual patient. A large part of his practice is devoted to customized cataract surgery, allowing patients to achieve independence from glasses.
