HistoryDr. Steven Peterson began practicing orthodontics in Madison in 1992 at Madison Orthodontic Associates. Dr. Peterson holds specialty training in both pediatric dentistry and orthodontics, but decided to focus entirely on orthodontics. Dr. William (Chip) Bird joined Dr. Peterson in practice in 2002, upon graduation from his training in Milwaukee at Marquette University. In 2005, Drs. Peterson and Bird formed Orthodontic Specialists of Madison (OSM). In 2015, Dr. Kevin Knutson joined OSM after practicing in northern WI. In 2019, Dr. Sarah McDermott joined OSM after practicing in Maryland and the Madison area. With four locations around Dane County, our sincere hope is that there is an office near you.
