Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission was founded in 1960, and is located in Waukesha, Wis. The commission provides information and planning services to solve problems which transcend the corporate boundaries and fiscal capabilities of the local units of government. It maintains highways, sewerage, water supply divisions, parks and open space facilities. It additionally offers telecommunications services in the southeastern Wisconsin region. Its regional water plan includes development of water supply supplying for residential and commercial usage. It serves various counties, such as Kenosha, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Walworth and Waukesha, Wis.
