History
After battling leukemia for a year our son passed away in 2012. We had to use our 401k to survive while living at the Ronald McDonald's house in Minneapolis. We returned home and went back to work. My wife fell off the front steps on a winter day and had to have surgery to replace tendons in her knee which took another year to heal. So we needed another source of income. In 2013 I had gone to an auction and purchased a washer and dryer set which I cleaned up and resold. This is where the idea came from. We started in my parents garage and then moved to a small shop with water hook ups and a place to test electric dryers. Between 2013 and 2016 we did online sales using Craigslist and Facebook for advertising. In 2016 one of our landlords who is still a good customer offered us a store front to open up a used appliance store. We opened the store at 732 Rose Street La Crosse Wisconsin on September 15th 2016 after a month of remodeling and a few upgrades to the building.
Specialties
I consider myself as a Washer and electric Dryer Specialist. I am also an Electric Stove Specialist as I mainly recondition these 3 types of appliances. If a customer asks me what the problem is with their appliance. I can usually diagnose it within a few minutes of them explaining the problem it's having. After refurbishing over 900 appliances for resale and another 50 to 100 appliances that are customer owned. I feel that I can call myself an Appliance Specialist being I have only taken back 4 appliances in the past 4 years of being in business. I have some knowledge in gas ranges and gas dryers. Also some knowledge in Refrigerators but not enough to say that I am a specialist in those areas. So if you get a quote from another company when fixing your next appliance. Call us first. You will be glad you did.
