The Manitowoc Breakwater Light is a historic Lake Michigan lighthouse situated at the end of the north pier in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Constructed in 1918, this cylindrical steel tower stands at 40 feet tall and is equipped with a fourth order Fresnel lens, emitting a characteristic white light every 6 seconds.
In 1971, the Manitowoc Breakwater Light was automated to enhance navigational safety in the area, with a range of 13 nautical miles. While the smaller south pier beacon was swept away in 2019, the iconic Manitowoc Breakwater Light continues to serve as a vital maritime landmark along the shores of Manitowoc County.
