Madison Metropolitan School District is among the largest network of schools in Wisconsin. The district covers the cities of Madison and Fitchburg, the villages of Maple Bluff and Shorewood Hills, and the towns of Blooming Grove, Burke and Madison in Wisconsin. The district serves more than 25,000 students in over 40 schools, including elementary, middle, comprehensive and alternative high schools. It provides classes to students from grades kindergarten through 12. It also provides early childhood programs and alternative programs at the secondary level. The district's schools include East High, Hawthorne Elementary, Nuestro Mundo Community, Spring Harbor Middle, West High and Wright Middle schools. The district is headquartered in Madison, Wis.
