For its size, Jacobus Park is one of the most diverse parks in the Milwaukee County Parks System. It is a designated natural area with extensive interpreted woodland trails, but it also has a playground, a wading pool, picnic areas and athletic fields. Jacobus Park's woods offer one of the metro area's best displays of spring wildflowers, and for the naturalist, it is home to more than 160 native plant species of which a number are included on Wisconsin's Threatened and Endangered species list.
