Ivarson was founded in 1963 under the name Len E. Ivarson as a manufacturer s representative. The company worked with a variety of European companies supplying processing and packaging equipment for butter, margarine and cheese production, as well as soap wrapping, throughout the United States. Over the years, the company began to develop a diversified line of processing and packaging equipment for the dairy and related food industry. This line includes both new equipment, such as cartoners, case packers, pumps, butter extruders, continuous butter churns and complete bulk packaging lines for solid and semi-liquid products, as well as remanufactured machinery for cup filling, quarter-pound sticks, one-pound solids and mini-portions. In addition, it supplies equipment for crystallization of margarine and shortening. Ivarson is a privately owned company that is located in Milwaukee.
