Grassy Island Range Lights, originally established to guide traffic into Green Bay harbor, are a pair of historic lighthouses that were relocated to the Green Bay Yacht Club grounds in 2014 as part of a channel-widening project. Constructed in 1872, these pyramidal towers with sixth-order Fresnel lenses were automated in 1934 and deactivated in 1966 before being restored and rededicated in 2005.
Following further stabilization efforts in 2017 and subsequent improvements to the breakwater, the Grassy Island Range Lights found their permanent home at Lighthouse Park by the end of 2019. Generously supported by the David L. and Rita E. Nelson Family Fund and the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region, these iconic structures continue to stand as a testament to Green Bay's maritime history.
