History
The Manitowoc Piggly Wiggly was built in the Early 1950s and run by the Meachum family until 1985 when the Verhagen family took over the store. In 1997 the store went through a major remodel which expanded the sales floor to what you see today. Again in 2007 the store went through a remodel turning the video store into a Liquor/ Postal store and expanding some much needed backroom space. The Verhagen family ran the store until January 30, 2011 until Robert and Kris Fox took over. Fresh, friendly, and close to home continues to be the motto of the stores. Great perishable departments mixed with friendly service, an aggressive weekly ad, and competitive prices continue to be their goal. We have many special events through out the year. Outdoor seafood sale, Pre Fathers Day meat sale, Outdoor Produce sale, Pumpkinfeast, and Deer Hunters sale.
