A former quarry site, Fox Brook Park now is a Waukesha County park with a 22-acre quarry lake with beach and 223 acres of recreational and open space. There are three observation decks to enjoy the vistas.
Located on Barker Road on the northwest side of Brookfield, Fox Brook has trails for walkers, joggers, bicyclists and rollerbladers. The lake offers fishing for Northern, Bass, Bluegill, Perch and Crappies (a state fishing license is required). Other water activities include scuba diving, pedal boat rentals and swimming with lifeguards on duty.
There are 400 acres of sandy beach with volleyball nets, a beach house with vending machines, restrooms, showers and a concession stand from June to August. The picnic area can be reserved for events and includes restrooms and kitchen facilities.
From September to mid-May, the Fox Brook Lodge can be rented for events as large as 100 people with kitchen and seating facilities.
