Founded in 1843, five years before Wisconsin became a state, the First Baptist Church of Merton has built a striking church on thirteen acres on one of the highest hilltops in the area.
The church sold its previous worship home that it occupied from 1855 to 2009 to the Village of Merton for a community center.
The gospel-based church's new facility includes flexible worship space, classrooms, meeting space and a fellowship hall that is outfitted with kitchen facilities and can seat nearly 250 people.
