Nicholas F. Streit, DPM
Nicholas Streit is a board-certified doctor of Podiatric Medicine. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Loyola University in Chicago, IL and earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine-Chicago. He completed his residency in Podiatric Orthopedics at Edward Hines Veteran’s Administration in Hines, IL. Dr. Streit’s practice is focused on general podiatric medicine and surgery with special interest in diabetic foot conditions, foot injuries, foot surgery, and sports medicine. Specific conditions treated include overuse injuries, such as stress fractures, tendonitis, plantar fasciitis. He also treats traumatic injuries such as sprains and strains, and fractures. Dr. Streit is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, and the American College of Foot and Ankle Orthopaedics and Medicine. He is also a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Wisconsin State Society of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Streit is double board certified by both the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, and the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Streit is married to Lisa and has two children, Ava and Shane. His family includes a beautiful Husky named Sasha. In his time away from work, he enjoys outdoor sports including cycling, running, and triathlon. Over the years, Dr. Streit has been active in the triathlon community, with his wife, Lisa, and friends. This includes competing in Ironman distance races including Ironman Wisconsin. Other activities he enjoys include general aviation, camping, music, house projects, and motorcycling. He feels fortunate that his mom (91) and dad (93), and siblings are doing well. His parents celebrated 70 years of marriage in March of 2021! Dr. Streit has started enjoying travel in the last few years, including destinations in the US and abroad. Hawaii has been a favorite of his and his family. Two years ago, they took a European trip and visited Germany, France, Poland, Austria and the Netherlands, with Berlin, Paris, Krakow, and Normandy, France as highlights. He and his family love visiting historic sites and every trip is a learning experience. They enjoy staying in interesting and out-of-the-ordinary hotels, rentals, and hostels. He and his wife went to Scotland last year. He reports that the people are wonderful and that it is an extraordinarily beautiful country.
