I like to take the time to really listen to my patients. I think it's important that they consider themselves part of their healthcare team. I encourage them to ask questions and make sure they understand whatever we are discussing. I want to build a strong patient/physician relationship. Preventing infectious disease is one of my special interests. I educate my patients on how to prevent the spread of disease with an emphasis on good hand hygiene. I'm also very interested in dermatology. I earned my degree in medicine in 1991 and completed my residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals. I am board certified in internal medicine and joined Ascension Columbia St. Mary's in 1997. I also served on the Ascension Columbia St. Mary's Clinical Excellence Council for a decade. My family and I love our national parks. We have visited all of them and are now visiting smaller parks. Our road trips bring us closer together. I also like all types of music, attending art fairs, and most importantly spending time with my family.
