History
In 2009, founder and personal trainer, Marcela Perea, left her career as a fashion designer to pursue her true passion -- fitness -- full time. Soon after her clients' enthusiasm and successes demanded further fitness offerings so she began teaching small group boot camps. It was around that time that she discovered and fell in love with CrossFit. In 2010 Marcela achieved her Level 1 CrossFit Certification and began implementing CrossFit workouts into her boot camps and personal training sessions. She felt so strongly about the benefits of CrossFit that she decided to go all in and opened CrossFit 100 that same year.
Specialties
CrossFit 100 is a fitness destination, offering group and individual sessions, where the coaching, training and programming is centered on the CrossFit philosophy and methodology. That is, our focus is on workouts that are constantly varied, functional movements executed at high intensity and scalable to your fitness level. Constantly varied means every day you'll tackle a new or different workout. Functional movements are the normal movements your body goes through in life like running, lifting, squatting, shoving and pulling. We want to help you find your intensity while making sure the workouts you are doing are manageable based on your individual capabilities. We also incorporate this same methodology into our other programs such as CrossFit Kids and Endurance. Workouts are designed to prepare you for any of life's actual physical demands. We understand that those demands include helping a friend move or shoveling the snow or catching your bus at the next stop.
