Boys and Girls Club of Green Bay offers a wide variety of after school programs for children and disadvantaged youth ages 5 through 18. The programs and activities include job training, community service projects, teen centers, health and leadership clubs, teen dances and youth entrepreneurship. The club, established in 1967 and based in Green Bay, Wis., also offers summer programs, including poetry and writing classes and sporting activities such as baseball and swimming. B&GC of Green Bay offers five-core program areas, including arts, sports and fitness, social skills, character development and leadership development and education and career development. The youth receive tutoring, computer training, sports education, homework help and mentoring. It also provides prevention programs for youth, including gang, alcohol, drug, tobacco, teen sex and unplanned pregnancies.
