Founded in 1969, Associated Milk Producers, also known as AMPI, is a dairy cooperative owned by more than 4,000 dairy farmers in Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin. Headquartered in New Ulm, Minn., the cooperative s member farms produce over 5 billion pounds of milk. With annual sales of nearly $1 billion, it has a staff of approximately 1,500 employees. Associated Milk Producers processes and markets a range of dairy products and ingredients for the retail and food service and ingredient sectors. In addition, the cooperative s products include cheese, butter, instant milk and pudding, as well as value-added dairy ingredients. Associated Milk Producers offers milking system evaluation and component and somatic cell testing services.
