The Central West Virginia Community Action Association coordinates a variety of welfare programs for children and families. The organization operates through locations in Harrison and Lewis counties in West Virginia. The Central West Virginia Community Action Association offers food, juices, diapers and wipes to infant and children up to the age of 5 through the Emergency Infant Food Program. Its family mentoring program meets the child care, employment, transportation and health care needs of families. The association also administers the Head Start program. The Central West Virginia Community Action Association additionally provides housing and food assistance services to low-income individuals and families.
