Braxton County Memorial Hospital is a nonprofit facility serving all of Braxton County, W.Va., and parts of Clay, Gilmer, Lewis, Nicholas and Webster counties in West Virginia. It is a 25-bed, critical access hospital that offers 24-hour emergency care, surgical services, cardiac stress testing, physical therapy, women's services and sports medicine. It is part of the Charleston Area Medical Center health system. The CAMC health system was created in 1984 to meet the challenges of providing high-tech, health services to West Virginians. It united seven hospitals with a history of community service dating back to 1895. Charleston Area Medical Center Health System is the nonprofit parent corporation of multiple hospitals and health care companies.
