HistoryIn October 1977, longtime islanders Al and Laura Snyder opened Vashon Ace Hardware. The original store encompassed about 4,000 square feet of the space within the current building. Over the years additions and remodels have increased the size of the store to the current space of approximately 10,000 square feet. The Ace Hardware Service Center was purchased in 1996, adding another 4,000 square feet of Outdoor Power Equipment and Rental items. In October of 2001 Doug Snyder and John Yates purchased the business from Al and Laura.
