History
Over twenty-five years ago, Wild Ginger owners Rick and Ann Yoder embarked on a trip throughout Southeast Asia. They returned to Seattle inspired to create a restaurant modeled after their experiences with the incredible food and culture of the Eastern world. In 1989, they created Wild Ginger and the result was a tremendous success. This pillar of Asian dining quickly became one of the most popular restaurants in the northwest and a true Seattle original.
Specialties
The food at Wild Ginger spans the eastern Pacific Rim from China to Indonesia, and Malaysia to Vietnam. We pride ourselves on offering traditional dishes from these distinctive regions and insist on house-made ingredients. Chefs make fresh spicy chili sambals, delicate egg noodles and our pungent oyster sauce all from scratch. To achieve the sublime flavors of the East there is no substitute for the time-honored customs of these rich and ancient cultures. We also have beautiful private dining space available for your next celebration.
