History

I started selling books from a cart in the Broadway Market (now QFC) in 1987. In 1990 I moved to 905 John St. (now the Capitol Hill Light Rail Station), whereupon I began keeping our famous cats too. In May of 2008 my employees, our felines, and I moved to our current location, and expanding in size 50%.

Specialties

We sell used books of all kinds: literary fiction, poetry, sci-fi, mystery, history, philosophy, and children's books. We buy books by appointment (or call-ahead); bring us books for store credit any time.
